Happy New Year and welcome back to school 🙂

Thank you so much for the kind words, cards and gifts for Christmas – you are really kind.

This half term, we are going to be basing our learning around traditional tales – this week, it was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We enjoyed listening to the story and retelling it in our role play area and using the small world. We got really good at doing the different voices for Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear. 🙂

We loved making porridge and adding our own flavourings to make it “just right”!

In Maths we have been learning about repeating patterns and also weighing. We had to carefully weigh out porridge for the three bears…

We have also been practising our careful counting…

We started our Animal Groups again on Thursday. Here are some photographs of our PE lesson, Music lesson and Technology lesson. The apps that we used are Bee-Bot (programming), Doodle Buddy (creating pictures / typing) and BlobbleWrite (practising letter / number formation).

We will soon be getting changed in to PE kits for PE. Please could you get a PE kit ready and send in to school over the next few weeks. Please include – plimsolls, navy shorts, white t-shirt, navy hoodie, navy jogging bottoms (as we sometimes go outside). Please label every item of PE kit and ensure that school uniforms are also labelled so that we can help your child to locate their things. Please put PE kit into a drawstring bag or backpack with your child’s name clearly displayed on it. It might help your child to have a distinctive bag that they will recognise. Thank you! 🙂

Here are some more photos from our week.

Next week, we will be basing our learning around the story The Gingerbread Man. You could read this story at home with your child if you like 🙂

Rainbow Class are visiting the library on Thursday afternoon, thank you if you have handed in your permission slip.

Have a great weekend! 🙂
