Good morning everyone,
We hope you had a super weekend. It’s Monday so it’s time to:
SPARKLE and SHINE!
It’s a new week, full of promise and possibilities. Time for a fresh start if you need it.
This week, our Monday morning greeting tells you a little bit more about our Teams meetings that will start this week. We’re very excited. Fingers crossed that all the technology will work and the meetings will go smoothly. If they don’t, don’t worry we’re all learning and improving and they will get better. If you haven’t already done so make sure you go over the rules and expectations with your grown-up before you join the meeting.
This week your Teams’ assignments will be on Tuesday (Maths) and Friday (Literacy).
We’ve pasted a quick reminder of your daily routine here to help you keep track of what you should do today, but you can do this in an order that suits your working pattern at home.

Warm-up: Keep practicing your spellings. Use Edshed – we know there have been some ongoing technical issues but let us know if you’re having any difficulties. This week: we have a second week of adding the suffix “-ation”. If you have lost your booklet you can click on the link below it will take you to the correct page. We’re working on Week 4.
Main task: Mr Marshall is going to continue reading Ice-Palace and then he’ll talk you through a recap of our work on tenses from a couple of weeks ago. You’ll learn another about another tense today – it’s a little unusual. Click on the link below to get to your lesson:
Warm-up: Keep practicing your times-tables. We’ve been doing lots of work on these now, so I’m sure you’re all becoming experts. Keep up the work on Times-Tables Rockstars or whatever method works for you.
Main task: Today we’ll continue our work on Multiplication and Division with Mrs Avery. We’re finding out about factor pairs today
This week we’re going to add to our sculpture by developing our knowledge of origami. You will need to access videos on the general Youtube channel. As we won’t be with you when you are doing this – as we would at school – make sure your grown-ups know. Have fun folding!
Tomorrow, we’ll see you all in our very first class meeting. We’re looking forward to seeing your faces. Don’t worry if it feels a little strange at first, you soon get used to it. See you all then.
You can accept the meeting by logging in to Teams, clicking on calendar and then clicking on the class meeting. RSVP to accept.
