Good morning everyone,
This is it – our final Monday of the half-term and it’s: Marvellous!
We hope you had a super weekend. We think you’re all marvellous and we were super impressed with all your hard work last week. Your final chapters and reviews of Ice Palace were terrific and your Geography Fieldwork was amazing.
It’s a new week, full of promise and possibilities. Time for the final push before we can all have a good rest.
This week, our Class meetings are on Monday and Thursday, so if you’re still reading this you need to log in to your Teams account and join your class mates!
4A we’re really sorry but we’ve had to move your meeting to tomorrow morning. Same time same place – see you there. Mrs A
Our Teams’ assignments this week will be on Monday (Art) and Friday (Literacy).
We’ve pasted a quick reminder of your daily routine here to help you keep track of what you should do today, but you can do this in an order that suits your working pattern at home.
After your Teams meeting, watch Mrs Toom’s assembly. We think she will have some fabulous suggestions for half-term. See if you recognise anyone in the photos. Click on this link:
As we have finished reading Ice Palace, we have a new text for guided reading. We think you’ll find it useful in Literacy too.
Warm-up: Keep practising your spellings. This week: Week 6: Using the ‘-cian’ used instead of ‘-sion’ when the root word ends in ’c’ or ‘cs’. If you have lost your booklet you can click on the link below, it will take you to the correct page.
Main task: Watch Mr Marshall’s video to find out about the short writing project we have designed for this week.

Warm-up: Keep practising your times-tables. We’ve been doing lots of work on these now, so I’m sure you’re all becoming experts. Keep up the work on Times-Tables Rockstars or whatever method works for you.
We’ve posted the extra times-tables sheet here again. We’ll put them up every Monday so they are easy for you to find during the week. Don’t try to do them all at once. Try a different one every day or focus on one particular set that you are struggling with. Know your 2’s, 5’s and 10’s first, then tackle the 4’s and 8’s, followed by the 3’s, 6’s and 9’s and at the end do the 7’s, 11’s and 12’s.
Main task: Today we’re moving on to Division. We will be exploring different ways of sharing or dividing 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. Watch Mrs Avery’s video and then complete Activity 1 and the worksheet to recap knowledge from Year 3.
Log in to your Teams account to access the assignment. This week we will review our work on sculpture. I have to say I think your sculptures are amazing. I think what you have achieved, working at home, is fantastic and you all need to be congratulated.
If you can’t access the lesson or the task in Teams you can always click on the links below and make sure to send your work by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Complete the review by downloading the template or creating your own and submitting it via Teams.
We’re looking forward to reading your reviews.
That’s it for today. Only four more get ups!
