Christmas has arrived in Foundation!!
We’ve been extremely busy rehearsing for our Christmas Performance. The children are doing so well! We can’t wait for you to come and see it.
If you have been asked to supply a costume for the performance, please send them in a bag which is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Even if your costume if being supplied by school, we are still asking that you send in a bag with your child’s name on so that they can easily find their costumes. We will be doing a dress rehearsal on Thursday so please send in costumes and bags by then. Thank you!
We have had lots of fun in our Santa’s grotto; making cards, writing lists, decorating the tree and building presents…
In Maths, we have been learning about ‘more’ and ‘less’. We helped Santa sort some sweets out ready to go in his sack. We had to check the Good List and the Naughty List and then share the sweets so that the good children got more and the naughty children got less!
For Finger Gym this week, we have been practising the formation of ‘d’, ‘b’ and ‘p’, tracing Arctic animals, balancing marbles, using the tweezers to count pom poms and buttons on to snowmen and drawing polar bears following step-by-step instructions…
Here are some more photos of our week…
(Thank you to those of you who have donated toys to Foundation – this week we enjoyed playing with Mr Potato and Postman Pat!)
We would like to say an enormous THANK YOU to the parents who gave up three evenings to help add a bit of colour to our outdoor area!
Now that the cold weather is upon us, please ensure that all hats, scarves, gloves etc are labelled with your child’s name. Please support your child with doing up their own zip / buttons and putting on their hats, gloves and scarves in order to make them more independent when getting ready to go outside. Thank you 🙂
We hope you have a fabulous weekend!
