Thursday 25th February
Good morning everyone! We are excited to start our day with a 9am Teams meeting. We are going to be doing a phonics activity together and you will need to have a piece of A4 paper cut into 6 bits, a dark felt tip pen, your workbook and a pencil ready. We are really looking forward to seeing you all again!
Here are the activities for today.
We are going to be continuing our work on adjectives. Watch Mrs. Poole explain the activity. Use this list of adjectives to sort and describe your character.
Keep reading and remember to look at your Bear Words too. There is no phonics with Rosie today because you had your phonics with Mrs. Poole and Mrs. Boughton in your meetings!
You are continuing with counting in fives today. Watch the video and complete this worksheet, or write the answers in your workbook. Remember to keep practising counting in fives whenever you have a spare moment.
This half term we are continuing to learn about stories from the Bible. We shall be learning about the miracles that Jesus performed in some of these stories and today’s story is called ‘The Big Picnic’ When you have listened to the story, imagine what the little boy was thinking and how he was feeling in the story. This video will help you. You can stop at 3.24 or listen to a little girl read from the Bible to tell the story.
Now get your workbook and pencil ready and watch Mrs. Poole explain the activity.
Finish the day with Mrs. Poole reading the story Jim and the Beanstalk by Raymond Briggs.
