Hello Year 2!
It was so lovely to see all your lovely, smiling faces in the TEAMS meetings last week! You are all so good at muting your microphones and taking it in turns to speak, we are so impressed!
Today’s work is for Monday, 8th February. When completing tasks, you can either do so electronically (via Microsoft PowerPoint or Word) or by recording work on separate sheets of paper or a notepad.
Please remember both TEAMs assignments must be completed each week and submitted for feedback. Use theemail email@example.com to contact the Year 2 Team at any time and we get back to you the next working day.
Don’t forget that tomorrow (9.2.21) there will be a book drop off.
For today’s Guided Reading we would like you to continue listening to the story of George’s Marvellous Medicine. Mrs Horton has read up to The Brown Hen with you and would like you to continue the story up to the chapter, Marvellous Medicine Number 73. To do this, click on this link and start the video from 39:54 and stop at 1:02, as you will listen to the last part on Tuesday. On Tuesday, you will be completing the rest of your book review, so whilst you are listening to the story today, think about how you would answer the question, ‘What was your favourite part of the story and why?’. Think about how many stars out of five you would give it.
Today we are continuing our spelling journey. The rule is to add ing to words ending in ‘e’ with a consonant before it. Click on this powerpoint to access the powerpoint. We have been super impressed with the amazing scores we have seen! Keep it up we say!!!!
ED SHED SPELLING

Today we are learning about our 2 x tables! Click on this powerpoint to access the lesson and use this worksheet. You may find it useful to use this 100 square. In case you cannot play the videos on the powerpoint, please find the clips below:
Don’t forget to practise your mental maths skills on a regular basis. Your log-in details are on the back of your reading diary.
You may have read in the press that Oak National Academy are providing a Virtual School Library, they are releasing a book a week with activities provided.
