Maths

We continue our Statistics unit today. Yesterday we looked tally charts, today we look at pictograms.  There is no need to print out the worksheets – look at them on screen and write your answers on paper at home.  Use the answer links to check and mark your own work!

English:
In today’s lesson, we are going to compare and contrast the different settings in the story. To help with this in the recorded lesson we ask you to watch this clip of the transformation of the setting-

Worksheet if you wish to print: Compare tin forest settings
After watching the recorded lesson and completing the comparing settings activity we ask that the children go onto this website and create a list of things that we could do to make our environment a better place!

Here is photos of the book if you would like to read the story yourselves.

Teams:

You should have received a TEAMS invite asking if you would like to join your classmates and teachers in a virtual meeting.  In today’s meeting, we will be discussing some of our new topics/plans for the next few weeks, World Book Day plans (which we are very excited about), listening to some exciting show and tell and catching up with some of the lovely things you got up to in the half-term break. We are really looking forward to seeing lots of your smiling faces :).

PSHE
Our new PSHE unit is ‘Healthy Me’ where we look at being healthy both inside and outside of our body!  You will remember that we have talked about fitness in our PE sessions and healthy eating in our Science sessions back at the start of year 3.  Today we start to bring all of these ideas together.  Cut and paste the link below and watch the video – then see if you can set yourself some fitness challenges.  Discover how your body feels both before, during and after exercise.
