Here is your remote learning for Wednesday 6th January 2021.
Over the next few weeks, we will make sure there is little or no printing involved in your tasks. Of course you are welcome to print, but this is not necessary. Simply write any written responses on paper you have at home.
Some of the pieces of work will need to be sent back to us for feedback. This will either be through Microsoft Teams or by photograph on email to the following address:
All year 3 teachers will access this account and provide feedback to your work. Due to rotas within school, the feedback will be provided by either Mrs Seagrave, Miss Moore or Mrs Turner – not necessarily your class teacher – however, someone will always respond to your work and queries on this address. If you have any specific queries for the class teacher we are happy to answer these at out personal school email accounts.
On the back cover of your child’s reading diary is the login for Microsoft Teams. If you cannot find this please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange this for you. We have attached below a letter to explain how to use Teams – click on the link below. There is also a video from Mr Good below which will show parents how to use it. BUT – please do let us know if you have any problems with it – we will do our best to get it going for you!
Although it is a bit of a tricky time, we think it woud help to keep a similar routine each day (where possible). Routines help us to feel calm and do your best to stick to a daily timetable. You could use the one below if you want or make up your own!

Watch this video
The worksheets are below – please do not feel you have to print them out – simply look at them then write your answers on any paper you have at home.
Please click on the link to the PowerPoint to view today’s Literacy task. Due to the file being so large we have had to upload it as a YouTube link rather than a PPT so you will also need to pause the video yourselves at times to complete various different tasks. Please only watch and complete Wednesday’s activities.
This week we are learning all about how to punctuate direct speech. Today’s lesson doesn’t require any work to be submitted but we would like you to complete the tasks on a piece of paper whilst watching the video.
Afternoon Learning – Science
Watch this powerpoint presentation about rocks – can you find examples of rocks around your home. Again – please do not print off the worksheet at the end – simply write your answers on paper at home.
