Our Reception children had a swashbuckling time celebrating Pirates and Mermaids Day, enjoying lots of exciting themed activities!
But there was a mystery to solve… Pirate Pete had kidnapped our beloved Acorn and Conner Bears! 🐻 The children followed a treasure map, using their detective skills to track them down. A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Take Care competition. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the number of entries and the creativity on display! From artwork, poems and sculptures to playing cards and even a song, there were so many wonderful ways to bring our Take Care ethos to life.
We loved sharing the entries in Monday’s assembly, although choosing our winners was incredibly tough! After much deliberation, we narrowed it down to three winners, each receiving a book voucher. 📚
A special award also went to Birch Class for their fantastic collaborative artwork, which is now proudly displayed outside the school office.
All the entries are on display in our Year 4/5 corridor and are already attracting lots of admiration. Thank you for showing us what Take Care means to you! 💙💛

Our girls’ football team have already been in action twice this year and have made a fantastic start!
They competed in the recent Rushcliffe Girls’ Football Tournament, finishing second in their group after some great performances.
