A group of our Year 3 children recently had a fantastic time at an afterschool Hockey Skills Festival held at Boots Hockey Club, based at Lady Bay Sports Ground (Nottingham Rugby Club).
The event began with an initial briefing where the children were warmly welcomed and introduced to the activities they would be taking part in. They then rotated around a series of fun and engaging skill stations, focusing on key hockey skills such as dribbling, passing, control and teamwork. Each activity was well organised and gave everyone the opportunity to stay active, challenge themselves and enjoy the sport.
The children were brilliant throughout the festival. They listened carefully, showed great enthusiasm and demonstrated excellent behaviour and teamwork at every station. It was a pleasure to see them growing in confidence and having so much fun.
The event finished with a closing presentation celebrating the children’s efforts and positive attitudes. Everyone had an amazing time and left smiling, full of excitement and pride in what they had achieved.
Well done to all of our Year 3 pupils for representing the school so positivel
