We were thrilled to welcome MC Grammar into school this week, and what an unforgettable day it was! His visit was packed with energy, creativity and laughter, inspiring children across the school to see language, reading and words in a whole new way.

Our Reception children were completely captivated by a brilliant story about a fire-breathing dragon, brought to life with music, rhythm — and even some surprise water pistols, much to their delight! The storytelling was playful, immersive and perfectly pitched, showing our youngest pupils just how exciting stories and words can be.

For Years 1 to 6, the atmosphere was electric. MC Grammar led a high-energy mix of rap performances, dance-offs and interactive moments, with children confidently performing the raps they had been learning in class. There were also some unforgettable rap battles between teachers, which caused huge excitement and plenty of laughter!

Throughout the morning, MC Grammar connected effortlessly with the children, creating an inclusive, joyful experience that encouraged confidence, self-expression and a genuine love of language. He showed our pupils that reading, rhythm and words belong to everyone — and that using your voice can be powerful and fun.

A huge thank you goes to our Home School Association (HSA) for funding this fantastic visit and making the experience possible for all our children. It was a truly inspiring day that will be remembered for a long time to come.
