Our Year 5 pupils had an exciting and memorable Rainforest Day as part of their learning about tropical environments. The highlight of the day was a visit from a real Amazon jungle explorer, who shared fascinating stories and experiences from their time in the rainforest.

The children discovered what life is like deep in the Amazon, learning about the incredible plants, animals, and ecosystems that make the rainforest so unique. They were amazed to hear about the challenges of exploring the jungle, from navigating dense vegetation to encountering unusual wildlife.

Through engaging talks, questions, and hands-on activities, the pupils explored why rainforests are so important to our planet and how they help support biodiversity and climate balance. They also learned about the importance of protecting these vital environments for the future.

It was a fantastic day filled with curiosity, discovery, and enthusiasm. The children left feeling inspired and with a much deeper understanding of the wonders of the rainforest.
