On Friday, Year 2 took on a fun and creative arty challenge: could we paint amazing flowers using only recycled materials and everyday objects—no paintbrushes allowed!

I’m sure you’ll agree that Year 2 absolutely rose to the challenge. Their wild flower creations were truly beautiful, and it was wonderful to see how imaginatively the children used the different objects to print and paint.

This activity brought together so many of the art skills we’ve developed over the year, including careful observation, colour mixing and fine motor control. What a lovely way to end an arty year!
