What a fabulous time, celebrating reading, Year 6 had on World Book Day! We started the day by sharing our work on the ‘Land of Neverbelieve’ with our grown ups from home and our friends in Year 6 before we ventured off to Year 4 to see what mythical, hybrid creatures they had discovered on their adventures too. Later on in the morning, we spoke about how our ‘reading tastes’ have changed and developed throughout our time in Year 6 and spent time updating our recommendations for our book nooks. In the afternoon, it was such a treat to listen to Year 2 share their letters that they had written with us and then enjoy sharing stories in the sunshine together. We ended the day with a game of ‘Book Bingo’ before coming together to read the next instalment in our class book, ‘Boy 87’. Wow! Time really did fly!
