In today’s Forest School session we used loose parts in nature such as sticks, leaves, flowers. and rocks to create our own villages. The children’s imaginations never cease to amaze us, it was lovely to hear them explain the buildings, people and creations in their chosen village.

After taking pictures of the villages we then used the hose and some strong ‘winds’ to show the children the impact extreme weather events may have on villages. We are looking forward to learning more about floods and tornadoes along with other extreme weather events in our new geography unit.

Once we had settled down from all of the excitement we picked some strawberries, washed them and dipped them in chocolate that was melted on our FS fire! 🙂
