Ten children from Years 5 and 6 represented Abbey Road at a cross-country event yesterday. It's too dark after school for bike club this half term but that hasn't stopped many of the children being out on their bikes. Despite the cold, mud and rain, bike club coaches, children, and their families have been having fun at Holme Pierrepont.
Members of our Cycling Club presented cheques totalling £3759 to Diabetes UK, Heartlink and Abbey Road’s HSA. This is the total amount raised from July’s 24-hour Cyclathon event. Representatives from the three organisations have asked me to pass on their thanks to you all. Well done to everyone involved.
Three teams of ten year 6 children did a fantastic job of representing Abbey Road in the Indoor Sportshall Athletics at West Bridgford School on Monday evening.

Nearly 100 riders took part in our 2017 Go-Ride race. From new riders still finding their balance to seasoned bike club members, all tackled the course with enthusiasm and cheered each other on. Fantastic sporting spirit!
Fantastic running from Y5 and Y6 earned us 2nd place in the girls event and 4th place in the boys.
