We finished our half term of cycling with some racing. Even the children who couldn't ride a bike in July were now able to ride well enough to join in! Well done to everyone.
Somehow both year 5 classes managed to dodge Monday's rain and make it to West Bridgford Library. We all really enjoyed sharing books with each other and most of the children then used their library cards to select books to bring home. Our year 5 girls are so fortunate to have two fabulous netball coaches (both parents and PE teachers). Hopefully it won't be too much longer before they are able to play matches against others schools.
The year 5 children had a great afternoon testing out our new bike track. Whilst there were some tired legs by the end I think most of the children would have liked to carry on riding!
The year one bike riders so impressed us with their cycling today. They practised starting, stopping (using brakes not feet!), riding round corners and riding safely with lots of other riders near by and they were all amazing - fabulous listening and lots of smiles.
