Finger gym

  • Using very small objects like buttons, raisins, sweets or peas can your child transfer from one bowl to another using their fingers or tweezers.

Literacy – Write a sentence

  • Write the sentence “run, run, as fast as you can” in your notebook. As “you” is a tricky word this can be written down on a separate piece of paper for them to copy. However please encourage your child to remember it independently.

  • Write numerals 5 and 6 on your whiteboard or in your notebook, following the rhymes on the sheet provided.
  • Write numbers 1 -10 on scrap piece of paper. Hold up random numbers from 1 to 10 for your child to shout out the numeral and show amount with fingers .Then get your child to write number on their whiteboard which is either 1 more than or 1 less than the given number.
  • To help them remember which number comes before or after, the numbers can be placed in the correct order in front of them.
