We have learnt lots about the Ambulance Service and how they look after us.
We had a visit from Mike who works as an ambulance technician who showed us his uniform and some of the equipment
he uses to help people.
The children had a go at making slings and bandaging arms.
They learnt how to dial 999 and talk to the control room. We learnt how to put each other in the recovery position.
Mike showed the children how he uses his stethoscope to listen to lungs and hearts. He also showed them how to take
their blood pressure.
We have been working hard with our writing this week.
We labelled an ambulance and wrote our own sentence about an ambulance.
We have also drew some fabulous pictures and created some collages of ambulances.
