Eco Club wanted to improve our school grounds and decided that planting more trees would be good for the environment. It would provide more shade for pupils as well as provide new habitats for many different animals.

We contacted the Woodland Trust and applied for a selection of trees. To our delight, 30 young saplings, were delivered last week and this Monday we joined forces with the Year 4 gardening club to plant them on the KS1 field.

We recognise it will take many years before they grow to a substantial height, but good things come to those who wait and we all need to do our bit to stop climate change!
