This afternoon we have been very busy. We began our session by taking our history outside and recapping what we have learnt about the mysterious Stonehenge. We discussed how we thought people in the Stone Age moved such large stones all the way from Wales to Salisbury. Lots of children agreed using logs to roll them would be the easiest way to move such heavy objects so we tasked them to use some pipes and rolls to move a book from one side of the playground to the over. It’s fair to say it is harder than it looked and we all agreed it would have taken a LOT of effort in the Stone Age.

After that, we got into the festive spirit by turning pinecones into Christmas tree ornaments and making our own eco-friendly reindeer food. We finished the session with a very well-needed hot chocolate and a toasted marshmallow to warm us up!
