In our FS session this afternoon we carried out a science experiment to determine if the child with the longest legs will always jump the furthest.
We began the afternoon by making a prediction and we discussed the importance of fair testing. Then the children conducted their experiment, recording findings and working as a team to ensure only one element changed each time (the child who jumped) whilst all the rest stayed the same (measuring tool/start point).
After discussing our findings we played one of our favourite Forest School games ‘find my tree’. We were so impressed with how well the children did this, working on their trusting and communication skills.
To finish the session we had hot chocolate and apples toasted with sugar which some of our fantastic helpers made! Thanks for another lovely session Year 3
