This week Year 3 enjoyed a lovely forest school afternoon sketching our beloved trees.  The children were given a variety of pencils to choose from and then tasked with drawing the trees on our playground, paying close attention to details such as bark, veins on leaves and the shapes of the branches.  While the children were sketching, groups were taken to make a sedimentary sandwich as a snack.  After breaktime, we all sat round the firepit enjoying our sandwiches and hot chocolate.  Here are a few photos of the afternoon to enjoy…
