This week marks Children’s Mental Health Week. During our School and Wellbeing Council meetings, the representatives decided that they would like to offer the school children at Abbey Road a moment of mindfulness during break time. To do this a ‘Mindful Me’ station was set up in the Foundation Stage playground as well as the Reading Garden. The representatives that helped did a wonderful job of helping the children access the mindful activities on offer – so a big well done to all involved in making it such a lovely experience.
Also, a big thank you to all those involved in making Random Acts of Kindness Day at Abbey Road School a success today. It was lovely to see the children thinking carefully about how they can show someone a kindness in a subtle and discreet manner. The School Council did a great job of making sure their classes got involved.
