Kung Hei Fat Choi. It’s the year of the Rabbit! We have had so much fun celebrating the Lunar new Year this week.

We shared the story of how the years got their names and used this to support our Maths this week. The children have been learning 1st, 2nd, 3rd all the way up to 12th position! We reinforced this vocabulary using the cars and ramps. In finger gym we practised folding and cutting to make concertina dragons, we also threaded beads to create dragons. The children have even been writing numbers and their names in Chinese.

Thank you for sending in so many boxes and kindly turning them inside out for us! We have had a packed week of designing, making and decorating spectacular dragons.

The children were rightfully proud of their amazing dragons!

We had so much fun on our party day, we looked wonderful in our lucky red and gold outfits. We enjoyed tasting noodles with sweet and sour sauce and prawn crackers, then we had our very own dragon dance parade!
