Odd Socks Day at Abbey Road School

Anti-Bullying Week got off to a very ‘odd’ start at Abbey Road School!  The children had a wonderful day celebrating that we are all unique by wearing odd socks.  This year, the Anti-Bullying Alliance have chosen the theme ‘Reach Out’ and at Abbey Road, the School and Wellbeing Council chose to join in with this theme by ‘reaching out’ to our year group buddies.  The children designed their own copy of odd socks as well as discussing with their buddies what bullying is and the different ways we can reach out to one another.  It was so lovely to see all the different age groups coming together to unite against bullying.

Here are some lovely photos of the day – we hope you enjoy looking through them!

Odd Socks Competition

The School and Wellbeing Council thought it would be a nice idea for each class rep to choose a winning odd socks design!  The reps enjoyed their important role as judges, thinking carefully and creatively when making their final decisions.  Each winner was awarded with a TCP.

Here are just some of the winning entries – all very unique and wonderfully odd we are sure you will agree!
