This week we have enjoyed a pirate fun-filled week! We made some super pirate hats…
Here are some photographs from Finger Gym. This week we have;
- practised forming letters in our name,
- threaded a pirate necklace,
- coloured and cut out a pirate picture,
- counted out treasure using tweezers,
- carefully lined up sequins along the pirate map.
In Maths, we became Number Detectives, hunting for numbers around our school…
This week, we started Dough Disco and Squiggle. These activities help children to develop the muscles in their hands, wrists and fingers ready for writing as well as developing coordination. Next week, Rainbow Class will be doing Dough Disco and Sunshine Class will be doing Squiggle – we will alternate each week. We have also started Phonics sessions and have learnt the sounds, ‘m’, ‘a’, ‘s’.
Here are some more photos from our week…
Next week, we will be continuing to focus our learning around the theme of Pirates and Mermaids. Don’t forget Monday is our Pirate Dress-up Day!
Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
