Through their work with School and Well being Council, Lily and Millie have been selected to represent Abbey road at Pupil Parliament. The girls had their first meeting at County Hall today. Here they were able to introduce themselves to other school members from across Rushcliffe and take part in some lively debate! We gained a real insight into how our government makes decisions and votes on important topics. Todays debate started with some lively discussion about whether cats or dogs make the best pet! Next up was whether school uniform should be compulsory. It was a close call but Rushcliffe Pupil Parliament voted that ‘yes’ uniform should be compulsory. I wonder if you agree! The girls will be feeding back to School Council at their next meeting.
