This week we have been learning lots of key knowledge about snails.
We learnt that they are not insects, they have a foot, tentacles to smell and feel, a shell and eyes on stalks.
We learnt that they live in cold, damp places and eat, leaves, animal poo and each other.
We learnt that they leave a slimy trail to stop them drying out and help them to find their way home.
We enjoyed holding them and drawing them.
We have been getting very creative with our snail art.
We threaded beaded spirals, copied Matisse’s snail picture and cut out and painted spiral snails.
