This week we have enjoyed reading and joining in with the story of the Little Red Hen. We have taken on roles of the busy hen, lazy cat, sleepy dog and unhelpful duck! We have enjoyed telling stories with farm animals and have also sorted farm and wild animals. On Thursday we enjoyed being like the Little Red Hen and baking our own bread. We learnt that yeast helps the bread to rise and observed how it grew in size as it was left to prove in a warm area.
We have enjoyed some lovely art activities – collaging a hen and printing with fruits and vegetables.
