In today’s FS session the children have been super scientists, predicting and participating in an experiment to see if the person with the longest legs will be the one that jumps the furthest. We discussed the importance of fair testing and measuring accurately and came to the conclusion that it is less about the length of the legs and more about the skill of the person, the jumping technique and the strength of their muscles!
In our science lessons we have been learning all about our bones, muscles and tendons. Once we had completed our experiment the children created models of our skeletons using loose parts they found in nature.
After all our hard work we rounded the session off with some tasty toast which some fabulous volunteers helped to make. Another great and sunny (woo) session. Well done Year 3!
