Mrs Toom’s assembly

This week Mrs Toom shares some snippets of her favourite books in preparation for World Book Day on Thursday. Click the video below, sit back, relax and enjoy :)!

Maths

We continue our Measurement unit today. Yesterday we used a ruler to measure in cm.  Today we look at using metres (m).  If you don’t have a measuring tape at home with cm and m don’t worry yoy can click on this link, print then cut and assemble to make your own metre stick.  printable metre stick

The worksheets say to measure your classroom in metres.  As you are at home, please measure your bedroom / kitchen / lounge / wherever really!   There is no need to print out the worksheets – look at them on screen and write your answers on paper at home.  Use the answer links to check and mark your own work!

English-

In today’s lesson, we are recapping subordinating conjunctions (we promise that isn’t as complicated as it sounds)! We will then be watching the rest of ‘The Delivery’ ready to discuss our predictions, thoughts and opinions about the clip in our TEAMS call this afternoon. Enjoy :).
The clip you will be asked to watch in the lesson-

Teams:

You should have received a TEAMS invite asking if you would like to join your classmates and teachers in a virtual meeting.  In today’s meeting we will talk about the short film clip you have been watching in English as well as finding out a bit more about each other with some more show and tell sessions! We are really looking forward to seeing lots of your smiling faces :).

PSHE
We continue our ‘Healthy Me’ topic today and recap our learning about healthy eating from the Autumn term.  Today we encourage you to look carefully about what you need to put into your body to make it as healthy as it can be, as well as reinforce our learning on general health through a fun dice game at the end!  It would be lovely if you could make your own healthy me board games!   Cut and paste the link below and watch the video

P.E.

Here is a PE session where you can practise multi-skills. Copy and paste the link below and have a go at improving your balance and control skills!
