Next was a bird walk! We explored the grounds of Beaumanor, and found out that there is a huge variety of birds that live here; from the Robin, to the Rook, to the Green Woodpecker to name just a few!
Then we headed off to complete Mrs Marshall’s favourite activity! Pond Dipping! Victoria taught the children how to pond dip and within a few minutes, we had 31 experts! The pond was dirty and the water smelly, but that didn’t stop 2MT.
A vast array of pond life was recovered by the intrepid dippers; blood worms, stickle backs, diving beetles, newts, tadpoles and even a water scopion!
