In our recent Literacy lessons, we have been learning about the features of instructions, from the title, what you need, the method, the instructions themselves which use imperative verbs, adverbs and time adverbials to diagrams and top tips. We spent some time re-ordering a set of mixed up instructions and then followed the instructions to make a jam sandwich.
