What a fabulous first week back!
The children have settled back into school life and got straight to learning.
We have been learning all about the special celebration Diwali. Have a look at what we have got up to this week.
The children came back very excited and couldn’t wait to tell us all about Halloween and Bonfire night! In finger gym, we have been creating fire work displays by using objects to create different fireworks. One child even told me it was a Catherine wheel!
The children have loved learning about Diwali and making Diva lamps.
One of our challenges this week was to make a Diwali card for a friend. The children have took time to decorate and draw in their cards. They have also been decorating hands with Mehndi.
We have been busy making beautiful rangoli patterns with different shapes.
Remembrance day!
Wow- the children have been so respectful when learning all about Remembrance day. We read the book ”Where the poppies now grow” and watched videos all about veterans. The children had lots of questions and were really interested about previous wars. We created some beautiful poppies to remember those who have fallen.
