This week we have enjoyed learning about the Festival of Light, Diwali.
We had fun acting out the story of Rama and Sita in groups. In Finger Gym, we made Diva Lamps using playdough and beads and buttons to decorate.
Diwali and Bonfire Night are both celebrated by setting off fireworks. Here are some of our transient art firework pictures…
In maths, we have been learning about 2D and 3D shape. We have learnt so much about shapes. For 3D shapes, we have used terms such as rolls, stacks, slides, faces, curved, straight. Our challenge was to build a tower using 3D shapes and talk about the properties, we had to include a shape that rolls in our tower.
