Wow, what a fantastic start the children have had to Year 2! The grown-ups have loved getting to know them and we are excited for a wonderful year ahead. They have learnt all their new routines brilliantly and have enjoyed getting to know their new classrooms and choosing area. Here are some photos of us exploring during our choosing time.
We have enjoyed our first topic, The Rainbow Fish. We have retold the story, written in sentences and revised our knowledge of nouns and adjectives.
We have also created some fantastic Rainbow Fish artwork.
In maths we have been revising our knowledge of bonds, o’clock times and tens and ones.
Next week, we will move on to our new topic based on the book Meerkat Mail.
