Before the Christmas break, the children in Year 2 undertook a great Design and Technology project – moving mechanisms. The children invesigated a variety of books with moving mechanisms and identified how the mechanisms worked. Then they took part in some focused practical tasks with the remit to make a moving picture that moved by a push/ pull on a slider, a lift the flap or a pop up. The children impressed us with their precision, imagination and most importantly their resilience. They then designed their own moving picture to go on a card and finally made them. We think you’ll agree they were fantastic!
