We hope  some of you are enjoying the express yourself challenges, we would love to hear  how you are getting on with the challenges so please feel free to e-mail us updates to – year3@abbeyroadprimary.co.uk

Guided Reading

Today we haven’t set a guided reading task to allow you the time to pick up a good book and get lost in a fictional world/learn some interesting facts from a non-fiction text. You could even read out loud to a sibling, parent or a pet if you wish, we think they would enjoy that also.

Maths

We have been so impressed with how you are continuing to work hard with multiplication and division.  Like last week, we would like you to spend your maths session today accessing Times Table Rock Stars, logging on and challenging yourself to answers as many questions as you can in the time set.  How many coins can you earn? What will you spend your coins on in the Avatar shop? Can you beat your score from last week?

Maybe you could challenge a friend to a battle!

The times table questions you see and answer will vary from week to week as we add in more and more multiples and times tables to challenge you! So remember to keep logging on!

Your TTRS log in is on the back of your readung diary. Google TTRS student login. The page should look something like this:

If you have any password / log in issues / queries please email and we will do our best to sort it out for you as soon as possible!

Happy times table practising!

English

We hope you are enjoying the task so far this week, we certainly are enjoying seeing some of your great articles and we think you might all make excellent reporters/journalists one day! Today we will (of course) be recapping the success criteria and then completing our newspaper report. When your work is finished we ask that you submit your work for us to see to- year3@abbeyroadprimary.co.uk

History

In today’s lesson, we need to put our historian hats on as we are going to look closely at some artefacts from the Bronze Age. Your job is to try and use evidence to work out what they might have been used for and what they might tell us about life in the Bronze Age. We would LOVE to see some of your educated guesses at what you thought the ancient artefacts might be/might have been used for so  please send any to our e-mail: year3@abbeyroadprimary.co.uk

If you wish to print/write down on paper any of the questions from the worksheet it can be found here:

As always, if you have any problems or questions we are only a message away.

Thank you for your continued support and kind messages.
