Over the last couple of weeks, we have been learning all about Andy Goldsworthy and his environmental art. Today we took some of his most famous sculptures and showed off our shading techniques when sketching them. The children did this beautifully and it was so lovely to see them taking such care and attention with their work.

Next, we put our history knowledge to the test and built our own Iron Age hillforts. We tried our best to include: access for trade to come and go, barns for livestock, plenty of roundhouses, marketplace places and for it to be in a suitable position to defend ourselves when necessary.  Everyone came up with lots of interesting ideas and it was great to see how animated they were when explaining them!
