Our Going Global topic got off to a great start. We have learned more about some incredible buildings around the world and different classes have enjoyed meeting real-life architects to learn more about this fascinating and important job. Each class was then challenged to construct a model town of their own, considering what buildings, amenities and services to include as well as considering the overall design. Each of our new communities had plenty in common but, as we toured, it also became apparent how unique each design was – from eco-friendly concepts to towns inspired by Gaudi; from grid designs to circular designs and we were truly amazed by the children’s ambition, creativity and innovation.
