Good morning everybody. It’s the start of a new week and what a week it is. Our final week of Home Schooling this Spring.

We hope you had a fabulous weekend and managed to get out and about. It was good to feel the sun on our faces occasionally.

We know that you will  be full of energy and ready to go this morning. But just in case you have forgotten – there is a class Teams meeting happening at 9:00 am so get yourself logged in to your Teams account and ready to say Hello to your classmates.

This week our Teams meetings will be today and Thursday at 9:00 am. Your Teams Assignments will be on Tuesday (Maths) and Friday (Literacy).

We’ve posted a daily timetable to show and remind you what is coming up next today:

This week in Guided Reading we will be looking more closely at our new book in Literacy.

Warm-up: Keep practising your times-tables either using Times-Tables Rockstars or whatever method works for you.

We’ve posted the extra times-tables sheet here again. We’ll put them up every Monday so they are easy for you to find during the week. Don’t try to do them all at once. Try a different one every day or focus on one particular set that you are struggling with. Know your 2’s, 5’s and 10’s first, then tackle the 4’s and 8’s, followed by the 3’s, 6’s and 9’s and at the end do the 7’s, 11’s and 12’s.

¡Hola!

We’ll continue our work on dates this week. We’ll recap the months of the year and learn how to say when our birthday is.

We feel most children in the year group should be able to complete the lessons independently but they may need support with the initial logging in to the website.

Please follow the link https://www.languageangels.com/homeschool/ and select:

Use the following;

Username- AbbeyR1403

Password- lahome

Please note the password and username are case sensitive.

Once logged in, select Unit 8:¿Qué Fecha Es Hoy? (What Is The Date?) from the ‘Intermediate level challenge’ section.

Today we will use lesson 2. In this lesson you will learn how to say when your birthday is in Spanish.

Once you have selected Lesson 2, you will see that in addition to the lesson, you can also access worksheets and answers. There is no need to print these, you can complete them on paper. There are also games and songs you can access.

When you click on to the games you could also access games to play on our previous areas of learning such as Habitats and My house (Mi Casa). Have fun!

Art: Drawing Bodies

Today we will recap some of the pencil techniques we practised in the autumn term.

Well done we know you will have done your magic and spread your sparkle and shine all around you today.

We’ll see you all again tomorrow!
