Thanks to a visit from Mr Ballard, year 5 children were able to try out the sport of New Age Kurling  (a form of the original curling game, but adapted so that it can be played indoors on any smooth, flat surface, such as a sports hall, rather than on ice) for the first time.

New Age Kurling is a sport that requires participants to deliver ‘stones’ from one end of the court to a target at the other end of the court. The target has red, white and blue concentric circles and scoring is determined by the number of stones closest to the centre of this target.

The children quickly improved their accuracy and worked well with their team mates to develop sportsmanship and success.
