We finished the half term of Bike Club with some racing - well done to all the children who took part and a big thank you to the parents and ex Abbey Road pupils who have volunteered each week. Bike club will start up again in March when the evenings are once again lighter. [...]
Each week for one of our PE lessons this half term Y5 have been cycling. One of the children learnt to ride for the first time and all of the children made great progress improving their skills. Well done to everyone! [...]
Children (and their parents) from our school bike club had great fun cheering the riders at the Tour of Briatan and some of our y6 children (selected by Bikability) were lucky enough to ride at the start of the race!
We were extremely proud of our team of talented athletes from y2-y6 who ran, jumped and threw their way to overall school winners at the Rushcliffe Sports Day! Thanks to the parents who joined us - we couldn't have done it without you:) [...]

Many of the children concluded our Health Week by taking part in a variety of games organised by our Year 6 Sports leaders. It was lovely to see the older and younger children working together. Well done to everyonr who took part! [...]
Having started the day with some Active Travel to school, the Y5 children then spent a bit of time thinking about their Mental Health (thank you Mrs Lovett and your team) in assembly, before heading down to Holme Pierrepont to both watch the Freestyle World Championships and have a go at canoeing themselves.
