Prior to our Y6 Bike Club Residential some of the children have been practising riding different terrain and staying together as a group. Congratulations to our year 6 children who represented Abbey Road in the Rushcliffe Family of Schools Rowing Competition and won both the overall girls and the overall boys competition!
Our y5/6 table tennis tournament, which has been organised by our sports leaders, began yesterday lunchtime. Milo, Aaron, Dylan, Zach and Huey really have done a fabulous job of organising this. The sun shone again for bike club and the children continued to impress us with their cycling skills. As was always the tradition (pre-covid) we finished the session with relay races. Here are some of the children in action. [...]
Our younger children, who can't yet ride a two wheeled bike unaided, have been having good fun taking part in British Cycling's 'Ready to Ride' programme. We look forward to seeing them progress over the next few weeks.
The y5 children raced around the school grounds, combining their map reading and running skills, for our final orienteering session of the year. Well done to all of you!
